Software to install on a new computer or Laptop

Software needs vary from user to user, some users need minimal while some need a lot more advanced stuff, this guide is for minimal requirements users. If you are an experienced person you don't need any guide for that purpose. With such big arrays of Softwares, choosing the right one can be a little hard. But I'll do the hard work for you, keep reading on.
NOTE: This is guide is for Windows users, but most of the software are available on the Mac version too.

1. OFFICE SUITE

As documentation and making spreadsheets or even when you are going to make a simple presentation you need some software that does the work for you. While Microsoft Office remains the king of Office productivity. But for most people paying the subscription is kind of hard for Office 365.  But there are other versions you can buy. Office 2013 and later lifetime versions they don't come at big of a cost.
There are a couple of other free software that you might try, they are available free online and they are easy to use. If you are a Mac user, you get iwork, which is great for office productivity needs, Libra Office on the windows side is a free office productivity tool that is freely available for Windows platform. Most of the features there will likely suit your needs.
You can also try WPS Office Free too. Google docs is also a good choice.

2. MULTIMEDIA:

mutimedia

There are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to multimedia players. While you get pre-installed players both in Windows and Mac. But you just need another one sometimes. Here's some you can install. 1.VLC media players: A very versatile player, it will play major file formats there are many useful options here for you to use and which you can use to optimize your video viewing. You can download it from here
2.K-lite Codec player(Media player Classic): This is a very useful player, it supports much of the file formats and it is very easy to use. It has a seamless UI. You can download it from here  Potplayer and KMPlayer are worthy of mention too.

3. SECURITY
anti-virus

When it comes to security, you should make no compromise with it, with all the worldwide attacks you should have a strong antivirus that detects viruses for you. Anti-virus software is largely available in the market in various forms. Choosing the right one for yourself can be a hard thing.
I do recommend that you purchase a premium antivirus for most of you. But if you are mindful of the application that you use and you don't want to pay the price of a subscription then going for a free one is a good option for you. Kaspersky is personally my choice. I use it on a daily basis. It offers a year of basic protection for free, which includes protection from most viruses and also protects you from online threats very actively. You can trust it! You can download it from here.
It also supports premium, which you can buy if you want to. VirusTotal.com is also a good website where you can scan your files before you use them.

4. PDF READER:
pdf reader

PDF's are in common use, they are used extensively used by students and office employees.  Having a PDF reader and editor comes handly always for any user. My go would be Foxit Pdf reader, it has a beautiful UI it gives you a beautiful array of options to utilize your PDFs. It also has an editing function.  You can download it from here.
Adobe reader is also a good choice when it comes to pdf reading, Also Adobe Acrobat it's a professional-quality editor. But if you are just into pdf reading then I would recommend Foxit PDF reader.

5. BROWSERS

BROWSERS

Browsers are very necessary these days, mostly lots of people use in-built browsers but if you want a different taste then you should go for a new browser. Google Chrome is a good choice to go for, but if you are concerned about privacy along those lines then Firefox is a good choice. Opera mini is a very good choice too.

There is a lot of other software that you might need, you can find more about them by searching them online, but mostly you should get these for a starting point.  If you have any queries you can mail me at phoenixblogs99@gmail.com
