What is a website?
A website is like a page, more clearly it is a set of pages or webpages that is identifiable by a common domain name and published on a webserver.
How many people use websites?
The internet has spread through the ends of the earth, it has helped millions launch their career paths. There are over one billion websites today on the world wide web. Every year billions of people use websites to do their work. In 2019 4.9 billion people were active on the internet.

A Dynamic website allows the user to interact and can display different informative content, they use various database languages and programming in addition to HTML.
Simply put a static website will contain information that is static at one place not moving. While in dynamic websites you see the content move and interactable.
How are websites made?
Websites are made through sets of instructions called languages, like HTML(HyperText Markup Language and CSS(Cascading style sheet), Javascript and other such languages. You can either learn this language like I did and make a website or Use a CMS(content management system) like I did too.
What is a CMS?
CMS also known as a content management system is a software application that is used in creation of web content. You do not have to learn web languages to use this software, but some knowledge will help. There are various content management software like WordPress, Drupal, Blogger, Joomla, etc.
With the help of this software you can edit, create any type of site you want.
After your site is ready or if you decided to go for a CMS. The Next step is to get a Domain name. What is a Domain name?
Simply put a Domain name is a website name. A domain name is an address through which users can access your websites. Unfortunately, these do not come free you have to purchase them, you can get some for free, but the ones you want you to have to buy them.
There are a lot of companies that sell domains like Godaddy, Namecheap, etc.
After you have done that you will be needing a Hosting or more technically Web hosting, which is typically on a server.
What is Web hosting?
Web hosting is a service that allows users and organizations to publish their sites on the web. A web host provides and the technologies and ways to put your site on the internet. Websites are stored and hosted on special computers called servers.
When the user types you website address or domain name into their browser. Their computer will connect to the server where the site is hosted and your webpages will be delivered in their browser. They help provide FTP access, Email accounts, and cms support. In order to use a hosting you need to have a domain name, or if you do not the hosting company will help you purchase one. As mentioned you have to purchase a hosting plan to host your site on the internet. Some companies do provide the hosting for free you can choose whichever you prefer
With all that ready you will have your site running.
